Theresa Greenfield Releases Video Statement on Labor Day

Businesswoman and U.S. Senate candidate Theresa Greenfield released a video statement today, wishing all workers a happy Labor Day and thanking the Iowa workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic — including those in our hospitals, keeping grocery store shelves stocked, delivering our mail, and making sure the lights come on.

Theresa was 24 when her first husband, an IBEW union electrical worker, was killed in a workplace accident. After his death, she was able to get back on her feet and support her young sons with the help of Social Security, hard-earned union benefits, and a helping hand from the union family. Today, Theresa is running for U.S. Senate to fight for Iowa’s hardworking families in Washington, so that every Iowan can get the dignity and the hand up that she got when she needed it most.

Since launching her campaign last year, Theresa has earned the endorsement of more than 30 local and statewide labor organizations representing over 120,000 workers, who know they can trust Theresa to put our working families first — including the Iowa AFL-CIO, AFSCME Council 61, SEIU Local 199, and the Iowa IBEW State Conference.
